Watercolor – Framed – Two Dancers with Fez-Wearing Man – Signed – 14” x 10”

17
Cloth-covered frame with stain on left side.

I’m not exactly sure if this is a watercolor, though that’s my best guess. I do know that it is a wonderful blur of movement, with thick, bold lines and intense bursts of color; in other words, it really captures the orchestrated frenzy of choreographed dance. The frame is not in great shape, sadly, and the stain on the cloth of the frame looks like oil paint or something similarly stubborn. The painting is signed; to me it looks like “V. Pzthnfe” which probably isn’t right. $18.99

Landscape of Castle and Lake – Watercolor – 20″ x 18″

2

Gilded frame, glass plate, watercolor with pastel accents.

A castle (or perhaps its imposing remains) resides on the left, atop its own grassy island. To the right, a lake weaves through, silvery and reflective. This piece is tranquil — the muted colors add to that sensation — but at no point is it boring; I could spend days just looking at the ripples in the lake alone. $74.99

Portrait of Woman with Blue Headscarf – Watercolor – 18″ x 17″

Signed “Mary Gallant”, glass plate, narrow wooden frame.

I was a little unsure when I found her, but after cleaning up the glass she was just radiant. The warmth of this painting glows into the room; I love how the green enhances her vivaciousness. Spring-like and very entrancing. $119.99
